Gaylord and its Alpine Charm
Gaylord Michigan is well known for its Alpine charm, which was developed in the early 1960's. In 1995, the city finished its 2 million dollar streetscape project with flying colors.

Gaylord Michigan and Otsego County Elk
Make sure to visit Elk Park while visiting! Located at the end of Grandview Boulevard in Gaylord - you can see the elk and deer while they roam the grounds. Also, the Pigeon river State Forest is well known for its elk range. Come and look for elk in the early morning and late in the day. Lots of fun for the family.

Gaylord - Rich in History
A City Since 1922 - Gaylord is very unique. The town is beautiful with its Alpine theme - it even has a sister town in Pontresina, Switzerland. They gave Gaylord a boulder as a gift in 1965 from the Swiss Alps which is now on display in downtown Gaylord - pictured below. Simply click on the picture for a larger version.
